Eastern Hancock High School, located in Charlottesville, IN, is a local high school that offers vocational classes as well as a partnership with the New Castle Career Center (located in New Castle, IN).

Through the PMMI U Skills Fund, Hoosier Feeder Company and the PMMI Foundation provided matching donations to support Eastern Hancock High Schools’ Advanced Manufacturing and Engineering class.

This year’s Advanced Manufacturing and Technology class includes thirty-three juniors and seniors. The material donation and matching funds equipped students with welding rods, stainless steel, and other materials for welding training. It also enabled them to showcase their skills at a Regional FFA welding competition this past December.

Hoosier Feeder Company works closely with Eastern Hancock High School to provide support, including internships, for students. “Our company relies on trade skills such as welding to manufacture our products as well as engineering to design our products,” comments Stacy Johnson, vice president – business development at Hoosier Feeder Company. “Working with Eastern Hancock is a win-win for us and the future workforce.”
