Vibratory Bowl Feeder

Our HFC Vibratory Feeder was Delivered. Now What?

by Greg Schombert

In many cases, the arrival of a feeding system to a machine-build is an important stepping stone, as many parts used in the process originate from these feeders. Additionally, the pressures of an aggressive build schedule can be exaggerated when new equipment arrives because that usually means another tier of work is now ready for attention. Despite these pressures, it is important to carefully integrate your new feeding system into your production line to avoid causing more trouble than necessary. Luckily, with some due diligence, many common issues upon receival of a feeder system can be avoided.

Feeders for Everyday Projects

by Greg Schombert

While it is extremely unlikely that a vibratory or centrifugal feeder ends up in a household, chances are, a feeder has played a much larger role in the production of goods you find in your house every day. From consumable products, to tools and automobiles, the products made in large quantities for the masses must be manufactured in way that is financially reasonable, and Hoosier Feeder Company feeders help our customers do just that.

Noise Control for Vibratory Feeders

by Greg Schombert

Vibratory feeders are inherently noisy machines. Electromagnetic coils pull and release metal blocks beneath the bowl, usually between 60-120 times per second, to drive part movement causing the parts to vibrate not only against the bowl itself but against adjacent parts. Depending on the material and shape of the parts, the noise level of a feeder system can quickly become damaging to unprotected ears, especially when there is more than one feeder in the area. Fortunately for you, there is an assortment of options to help reduce the overall noise level of your vibratory feeding system.

Hoosier Feeder Company understands the value of production time and the detriment down-time can cause. That is why before your feeding system leaves our facility, we ask ourselves, “How can we make our system’s integration as seamless as possible?”. That question is answered in the form of checklists and tests prior to shipment. We cannot account for unknown circumstances once the feeder leaves our facility so we make sure that our system is rock solid so your effort can be directed elsewhere.

Common Mistakes Companies Make When Implementing a Centrifugal Feeder

by Greg Schombert

Companies from a variety of industries often make the same mistakes when planning, designing, and installing a centrifugal feeder system. You can avoid these same issues, which will cost significant time and money, by discussing your problem, and potential feeder system solution, before a project begins. Before the process starts, consider the following
