Ford Motors Vibratory Cinch Nut Feeder

Situation:

Ford Motor Company needed feeder systems to deliver cinch nuts for a new aluminum body of their F150 truck. Working with auto manufacturers is difficult because there’s a lot of liability involved and quality is a must. Feeder systems must be extremely precise to ensure oriented parts are delivered to specific positions, so they can be used in the assembly process.

Results:

Hoosier Feeder Company met Ford’s tight timelines and stringent quality requirements and built a robust vibratory feeder system that efficiently fed key parts for the assembly process. In total, the company developed 48 feeder systems for use in the truck’s manufacturing and assembly.
